Events

Here you can find different events taking place in the city. They are classified according to professional participation or open to public participation.

Events with professional participation in Barcelona:

January:
Christmas International Hockey Tournament: Hockey sports competition in which six teams participate annually at the facilities of the Real Club de Polo Barcelona in the first week of January on the occasion of the Three Wase Men holiday.

February:
Trial Indoor Internacional de Barcelona:

   

Round of the World Indoor Trial, the 2014 edition will take place on January 28th at the Palau Sant Jordi. Tickets from € 30, and children from 25 €.





March:
Barcelona Marathon: Sacrifice, effort ... All this and much more is needed to complete 42,195 m on the streets of the Catalan capital with the aim, of course, to finish the marathon. (March 16th)

April:
Comte de Godó Tennis tournament:

Conde de Godo Trophy also known as Barcelona Open Banco Sabadell (for sponsorship reasons) is a professional tennis tournament which is held annually on clay courts at the Real Club de Tenis Barcelona. It belongs to the ATP World Tour 500 series of the ATP men. Rafael Nadal has a winning record with eight titles. The 2014 edition will be held from 19 to 27 April. Tickets can be purchased from 45 €.

Barcelona Olympic Sailing Week: A sailing competition which takes place in Barcelona since 1993. It brings together the best professionals in sailing, is listed as level 2 by ISAF, which represents the top after the Olympics and World Championships (both Level 1). Takes place, of course, at the Olympic Port of Barcelona.

May:
Spanish Grand Prix Formula 1:

The Spanish Grand Prix Formula 1 is an event held annually at Circuit de Barcelona-Catalonia, in the calendar of world championship of the Automovilisme International Federation (FIA). The race of the 2014 World Cup will be held on 9, 10, and 11 of May, and tickets can be purchased from € 75.

Catalonia Cicling Toour "La Volta": 7-stage cycling race that is part of the UCI World Tour calendar. Used by many cyclists in preparation for the Giro d'Italia and this is the reason why it tends to have high-level parricipants. In 2014 "La Volta" will be held from 24 to 30 March, with the final in Barcelona and two mountain stages that all fans will enjoy.

Barcelona Polo Classic: Torneig Internacional de Polo que es disputa a Barcelona a mitjans de maig i està organitzat perl Reial Club de Polo de Barcelona.

Sailing Trofeu Comte de Godó de Vela and others: Sailing competitions in waters of Barcelona in May organized by the Real Club Nautico de Barcelona.

June:
Catalonia Grand Prix World Championship:

The motorcycle Catalonia Grand Prix is an event held annually at Circuit de Barcelona-Catalonia, within the calendar of the MotoGP World Championship in the International Motorcycling Federation (FIM). The race of the 2014 World Cup will be held on 13, 14 and 15 June and tickets are now available from € 60.

International TrophyCity of Barcelona Swimming: : Swimming Trophy organized by the Catalan Swimming Federation and Club Natació Sant Andreu which meets the forefront of world swimming. This competition is a founder of the European circuit.

July:

Puig Classic Sailing Barcelona: : From 16 to 19 July 2014 will host the seventh edition of this prestigious sailing competition in the waters of Barcelona.

Augost:

City of Barcelona Football Trophy (RCDE):  Historical Trophy soccer summer cup organized by the Real Club Deportiu Espanyol. While usually played in August, the latest edition was held in early September.

Joan Gamper Football Trophy (FCB): Soccer tournament organized annually by the Football Club Barcelona. The tournament is named in honour of the founder of the club. The tournament is usually played during the month of August and serves as preparation for the team ahead of the competitions, and a presentation of the players to the fans.

September:

CSIO: Jumping Horse International Trophy held in late September at the facilities of the Real Club de Polo de Barcelona.

October:

Barcelona Triathlon : Barcelona Triathlon (swimming, cycling and running) takes place every year in early October. In 2014 it will takeplace the 5th of October.

December:
Barcelona World Race: Sailing race held every four years departing from the Port of Barcelona on December 31st.

Cursa Nocturna l'Hospitalet: 5 or 10 km to enjoy popular athletics! (April 27)

Milla Sagrada Família: 1609 meter effort. Over 25 years of history! (April 28)

Cursa El Corte Inglés: 10.766 km. One of the most popular races in the world with the participation of over 70,000 people! You can not miss-- it's free! (April 6)

May:

Popular cicling by the Besòs River: (May 5)

10km de Nou Barris: Popular run 10 Km in the streets of this Barcelona neighborhood. (May 18)

Pujada al Tibidabo: 9 km through Collserola to get to the park! (18 de maig)

Cursa DiR-Guàrdia Urbana 10km: the only race that runs along the Diagonal (May 26)

June:

Mulla't i córre: 100% charity race at the Barcelona-Catalonia Race Ring. 10km, 5km, mile and skates. (June 2)

Cursa de La Maquinista: Race for integration, 10km, 5km and disabled categories. (June 9)

Barcelona Desigual Night Run 5 milles: Night race along the seafront city. (June 21)

July:

Cursa de la Vila Olímpica: Organized by "The Sansi", 10km around the neighborhood of the Olympic Village (June 30)

September:
Cursa atlètica de la Festa Major del Poblenou: 10km race in occasion of the district festival (September 8)
Cursa de La Mercè: 10km, held the week before "La Mercè"the City Festival (September 15)

October:
Correbarri: Innovative Barcelona race with a competition between neighborhoods to see which is the most athletic district of the city. (13 October)
La nocturna de Collseroa: 9km route at night across a usual training place for many people, "La Carretera de les Aigües" (19 October)

Novembre:
Cros Popular de Sants: Popular local race with more than 35 years, don't miss it! (November 3)
